Acquisitions included airlines, an airplane engine repair company, a quarter billion dollar restaurant chain, and a nationwide equipment rental company. As the lead Financial Analyst, he has over twelve years experience assisting private equity groups evaluate, close, and manage targeted acquisitions. In addition to evaluating bolt-on and strategic acquisitions, David also assists the management of Meridian’s portfolio companies in meeting its performance goals.ĭoug has been a member of the Meridian team since the founding of the firm. He also has many certifications including in LEAN manufacturing. David has an MBA from UCLA in Finance and International Business and an undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting from Santa Clara University. Prior to his role in the private equity world, Mr. He sold several other subsidiaries to entities in the travel and e-commerce industries. Rao successfully divested some of his portfolio companies to billionaire Carl Icahn. he rolled up several leading wholesale travel brands that generated revenues of $250M with an employee base of 450. Previously as Chairman & CEO of Global Leisure, Inc. He also provided oversight through board membership of all of its portfolio companies from 2005 until February of 2013.
